Q&A

Waterproof Mattress Protector FAQ

1. Which product is best suitable for potty training purpose?

A: For potty training purpose, Comfy Max would be a good choice as it comes with surface & sides protection and the design of its 100% cotton interlock knitted fabric can be used without bed sheet so you only change for ONE when it’s wet. We also recommend you to put on double protectors on your mattress and remove the stained or wetted top layer then continue to sleep at ease in shortest time; yet your mattress is still protected by second layer.

2. How many pieces of mattress protector do I need for full mattress protection?

A: We do recommend at least two so that you can still have your mattress protected when one send for laundry. However, for potty training & incontinence uses, the frequency of bed wetting could be higher throughout the day & night, we highly recommend you to keep at least three pieces.

3. Why all your products are recommended best washed before use?

A: Because the fabric is starched for easier cutting during production. Therefore, washing it will softens the product, improves the absorbency & eliminates any packaging odors.

4. What do I do if my mattress protector is stained?

A: Machine wash and tumble dry at low/medium temperature as quickly as possible, preferably while still fresh and wet. If it’s turned to stubborn stains, spray some mild detergent (no bleach) on soiled area; and rub GENTLY until stains come off then machine wash (always place the protector in washing net before machine wash).

5. Why can’t I bleach, dry clean and iron the protector?

A: Strong chemicals and high temperature could damage the waterproof shield.

6. My pet urinated on my bed, no liquid or stains got through my mattress protector. However, there is a strong smell of urine. Why?

A: The mattress protector is designed to be impermeable to liquids but permeable to air and vapors. Therefore, if the smell of the urine gets into the mattress, it might penetrate the barrier and permeate the mattress. Just use a readily available odor eliminator; this will solve any of your problems.

7. Why the protector has changed color over time even I followed the care instructions without mixing dark colors while washing?

A: The discoloration of the protector is a normal occurrence. It might be more pronounced depending on exposure to light, water and body acidity. This is considered normal wear and tear.

8. Can I dry my mattress protector in the dryer?

A: Yes, you can tumble dry your mattress protector at low to medium 65° C/150° F to 70° C/160° F and always dry together with other linens.
